Best Mud Client? Discussion in 'Mac and PC Games' started by Oirectine, Sep 18, 2010. Most Liked Posts. Oirectine, Sep 18, 2010. Oirectine macrumors regular. There's a MUD client on the Mac App store now, has anyone tried it out? It hasn't been updated in white a while, or I'd snatch it up. Current Version: 0.9.8.9 (September 11, 2009). Atlantis is a client specifically designed to aid in playing text-based multiuser games. It is designed from the ground up entirely in Cocoa, and integrates with system services - such as the Mac OS X spellchecker - as much as possible. Many MUD clients have few configuration options, which means users have to learn a scripting language if they want to change the way the client works. Axmud has a great many configuration options, but sometimes it can be difficult to find what you need.

Best iOS MUD client I could find.
Update: The dev is responsive to requests/questions, and I really like that. Also, it works great with my Bluetooth keyboard, so that's another plus. This app just keeps getting better and better. Original review below:
I've looked at several MUD clients, and they all were missing one major feature in my book. When the text I was typing got to the edge of the screen, the other apps would just continue on, pushing the previous text outside the box. MUDRammer on the other hand extends the text box and puts the new text below the old so I can see it all at once. Keep up the good work, DEV! ? Best Mobile App for MUD's
I've had it for over a year now I believe and it has progressed well. There are many features, including alias', macros, triggers, gags, etc that are stored on your specific MUD profile and you can copy it to others so you don't have to memorize and transfer everything between MUD's. There are two radial movement shortcuts. You can drag the circle in the direction you want to travel, and another circle for in/out/enter/exit, or disable one or both.
The design is sleek and comfortable. There are many color themes and fonts to use. While I personally use Chocolate, all fonts usually looks best against a black theme. It seems most complaints I would have are based around the small screens and lack of in depth complexity, but since they fit all this content into a mobile app?... Instant five stars! Great App
This app has made it possible for me to make friends with fellow gamers with minimal use of cellular data. Great functionality.
There are a couple small problems that Iâd love to see addressed, though. (1) The app crashes whenever I try to have it email the session logs. (2) I have no way short of uninstalling and reinstalling it to purge the archive of old session logs. (3) Ever since I upgraded my iOS to version 11, the in-app keyboard is missing the peripheral extra keys when the iPhone is in landscape orientation, and the microphone key is badly placed, leading to the iPhone chiming in awkward situations when I inadvertently tap it. Developer Response,
Sorry about the crash! You can also connect your device to iTunes on a desktop machine to copy or delete session logs from MUDRammer.
